Angels still seeking a top starter
The LosAngeles Angels are still seeking an ace class of starting pitcher this winter. They have already gotten Dylan Bundy from the Orioles by a trading and free agent, Julio Teheran, who had played for the Braves from 2011 to 2019. But, their starters still not enough to win the season although Shohei Ohtani joins their starting rotation as I have said already on this site. 

Jon Morosi of MLB .com reported on Sunday that the Angels has recently had a talk with the Cleveland Indians for a right handed pitcher, Mike Clevinger. That talks, however, failed to reach an agreement from points of initial price and players traded. 

Clevinger is 29 years old and went 13-4 last season with a 2.71 ERA. Especially the righty had 169 strikeouts in only 21 start-game appearances. 

The Angels seems to need to reconsider their strategy about the starting pitching staff.

先発投手獲得を目指すエンジェルス

ロサンジェルス・エンジェルスが、今オフ、依然、エース級の先発投手を探している。
エンジェルスは、既に今冬、オリオールズとのトレードでディラン・バンディ投手と２０１１年から２０１９年までブレーブスで活躍し、フリーエージェントとなっていたジュリオ・テヘラン投手を獲得している。しかし、大谷翔平選手が今季、先発ローテーションに加わるとしても、先発投手陣は十分ではないと私はこのサイト述べた。

MLB.comのジョン・モロシ氏が日曜日に伝えたところによると、エンジェルスは最近、クリーブランド・インディアンスと右腕マイク・クレビンジャー投手の獲得のための話し合いを持ったとみられる。しかし、資金面やトレード対象の選手をめぐる観点から合意に至らなかった模様だ。

クレビンジャー投手は現在、２９歳で昨シーズン１３勝４敗で防御率2.71。特に先発２１試合で１６９奪三振を記録した好投手だ。

これを受けて、エンジェルスは先発投手陣に関して、戦略を練り直す必要がありそうだ。
