Bartolo Colon has agreed to a contract with the Monclova Acereros of the Mexican Baseball League. The CBS reported on February 15 JST. 

The Veteran right-handed pitcher is now 46 and had sought a new ground since he became a free agent the 2018 offseason after playing for Texas in 2018. 
The 46-year-old hoped to play in Major but intended to go to Mexico or Japan according to situations. It is said that he has had one year deal this time. 

Colon went 247-188 with a 4.12 ERA in his 565 game appearances and has earned four All-Star Game nominations and a Cy Young Award of 2005. Also, he has had the most wins as a Dominican-born pitcher in Major League history. What’s more, the righty has had the most wins among any Latin-born pitchers. 

There could be a slight possibility to return to the big League with his success in Mexico.

バートロ・コロン投手がメキシコリーグのモンクローバ・スティーラーズと契約した。アメリカCBSが日本時間２月１５日に報じている。

２０１８年オフにテキサス・レンジャーズを最後にFAとなったコロン投手は現在、４６歳ながら、新たな契約先を求めていた。メジャーリーグを模索していたが、メキシコや日本でもプレーする意志があった。契約は一年契約とみられる。

コロン投手は、メジャー通算２１年間で、５６５試合に投げ、２４７勝１８８敗、防御率４.１２の成績を残している。オールスターには４度ノミネートされ、２００５年にはサイ・ヤング賞を獲得している。また、メジャー史上、ドミニカ出身投手として最多勝、ラテン系諸国出身投手としても最多勝を記録している。

メキシコでの活躍で、メジャーに戻ってくる可能性も僅かながらあるだろう。
