Shogo Akiyama of Reds Teaches School Kids Baseball！
レッズの秋山翔吾選手が子供達のための野球教室開催！

Shogo Akiyama, who signed a contract with the Cincinnati Reds taught children baseball in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture on Jan 11 where he does an independent training every year. TV Shizuoka reported. 

Ten Professional players including Akiyama, and Shohei Suzuki with the Seibu Lions, who is from Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, coached baseball for local school kids. 

About 150 kids who participated in the event, had the professional players teach them about how to swing a bat and catch a ball. Also, they shouted for joy when Akiyama with the other players showed the kids strong battings. 

The kids said, “I was good to talk to them so much” and “I thought we need to practice every day.”

Akiyama said, “I was very happy because the kids were looking forward to this event. I want them to grow through this kind of experience.”

レッズの秋山翔吾選手が野球教室開催

アメリカ・メジャーリーグのシンシナティ・レッズと契約した秋山翔吾選手が1月11日、毎年自主トレを行っている静岡県下田市で子供達のために野球教室を開いた。テレビ静岡が伝えた。

秋山選手の他、富士市出身の鈴木将平選手（西武）ら10人のプロ選手が参加し、地元の子供達に野球を教えた。

参加したおよそ150人の子供達は、プロ選手からバットの振り方や捕球の仕方を学んだ。また、秋山選手らが力強いバッティングを披露すると大きな歓声が上がった。

子供達は、「たくさん選手と話ができて良かった」、「毎日練習することが大事だと思った」など感想を語った。

秋山選手は、「子供達がこのイベントを楽しみにしてくれていたのでとても良かった。こういった経験を通して成長していって欲しい」と話した。
