【⚾️ #MLB X KAISPO 💫】No.60
⭐️KAISPO Total No. #1022(in English）
Japanese free agent outfielder, Shogo Akiyama told that he wanted to sing by Christmas. Four teams such as the Cubs, Rays, Diamondbacks and Reds, met with him at the Winter Meetings. As of today, Christmas, he seems not to have decided a new team.
But, there were some movements between the clubs which contacted him.
The Rays signed Yoshitomo Tsutsugo, Japanese left-handed slugger, who can play as an outfielder and infielder. Also, the Diamondbacks agreed to a two-year contract worth $16 million with Kole Cakhoun, outfielder, who had played with the Angels from 2012 to 2019.
On the other hand, the Cubs might have given up an acquisition of Shogo Akiyama because of a surcharge due to the most salary in the Major League even although Chicago is basically a very rich franchise. Akiyama is hoping that his contract would settle for a two or three year deal worth $5 million per year. What’s more, the Padres will participate in the race of Akiyama, Japanese media reported today.
I guess the finalists in the race would be the Diamondbacks and padres. We would be able to hear his destination soon in anyway.
