Congratulations, Pujols!! 
 Albert Pujols made two historical records. He hit the 629th and 630th home runs in his career to stand at sixth position on the all-time list, tying Ken Griffey Jr. 
Also, Pujols went 3-for-4 with 3055 hits of his career for 25th place on the all-time hits list tying Rickey Henderson. He is aiming at 24th with 3080 of Graig Biggio while Ichiro Suzuki, world record holder in hit, sits 22nd with 3089. 

About the game, the Angels beat the Mariners by 11 hits including 4 homers and 11 runs. The Angels took two of a three-game series. The two wins put them at 48-46, now ten back of Seattle and make them maintain their wild card hope. 

The Mariners miscalculated a condition of today’s starter, James Paxton. Paxton complained about  a sore back tightness and left the mound in his first 17 pitches to give a pair of homers with 3 runs in the first inning. Six relievers after Paxton’s unexpected exit took the mound, but could not prevent the Angels lineup gaining an increase by two home runs of the first inning.
Today’s seventh pitcher was Andrew Romine, Mariners’ utility infielder. Romine made the fifth mound appearance. 
M’s still keeps three games between the Astros that fell to the Athletics at Houston.

Manager Scott Servais explained about Paxton’s plan that he should be able to come back after next week’s AII-Star break as his back issue will not so serious. It means that the Mariners could put him on the 10-day disabled list and bring him back probably for the series against the Giants after the break.
