Today's Ichiro before the game;
Ichiro transitions from the field to the front office as a special assistant advisor with Mariners with the possibility to return to field in 2019. It’s not retiring. He accepted not to play in any game this season.. But, he goes with the team to practice and to support “cute teammates.”
Today he practiced with them as usual after the interview.

Why I believe Ichiro Suzuki Can Raise His Batting Average to. 300.
Recently, some local media in Seattle seem to have negative opinions about Ichiro Suzuki, who has rejoined Mariners this season. An important thing here is that they are amateurs of baseball, so there is no article of sharp‐eyed criticisms. They have never had just only a hit in MLB.
As of May. 2, 2018, Ichiro has 3,089 hits in MLB career and a combined total of 4,367 hits in his professional career in the U.S. and Japan. I mean he is a No.1 baseball hitter in the world.
The season is long, so I think Ichiro will have a higher batting average than now, around. 300.
But, there could be a condition. It's to fix his batting form.
His current form inclines toward the first base side in early timing.
This may cause two issues unconsciously.
Firstly, it's hard to reach outside balls regardless of any types of pitching balls by that.
Secondly, he may miss seeing pitching balls because his eyes move by that.
It's evident that;
His right foot widely steps toward the first base side.
His batting for outside balls are weak,
He makes many foul balls on the third base side.
On the other hand, there was an optimism. In the fourth at-bat, his right foot stepped toward the pitcher, but not the first base even though its result was a strikeout by swinging. He had a powerful foul ball on the third base.
If he begins to have more powerful batting on the left field by fixing his footstep and form, I believe his batting average will be raised to about. 300.
Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster move:
· Erik Goeddel, RHP, selected from AAA Tacoma.
I’m waiting for Ichiro.
Mariners won the game, 4-1.👍👍👍
