• Roenis Elias with well-managing start for an emergency held the Angels scoreless in IP 3.2. 
• Adam Warren with a shutout  in IP 1.1 and earned his 3rd win.
• Shawn Armstrong with a shutout of the 6th and earned his 2nd hold.

 The Mariners took the first two games of the series to improve to 10-7 over the Angels. 
 The Mariners six pitchers pitched well and combined for a shutout. A scheduled starter, James Paxton was sidelined because of a mild form pneumonia by which Roenis Elias started for an emergency and well managed the first 3.2 innings. Adam Warren, Shawan Armstrong, Nick Vincent, Zach Duke and Ryan Cook followed in relief after Elias’ leaving, not giving up any run. Dee Gordon also supported the bullpen to make a jumping catch of the Mike Trout’s 34th homer leaning on the center fence in the fourth. 
 About an offense, in the fourth, Robinson Cano hit a lead-off single in a back-to-back game. With two out and runners on second and third, Ryan Healy’s single in the two runners in the same seventh. In the seventh, Dee Gordon had a two-run single on a lime drive to left field by which Seattle added two runs to assure a victory. 
 Seattle still remains 8.5 game back for the American League wild card berth, but it will be nearly impossible for the Mariners to overcome an adversity numerically.  
 A two-way player for the Angels, Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-4 by which his batting average slightly decreased to ,290.
