We can see different Ichiro today‼️
Ichiro Suzuki, player and special advisor in Mariners, is going to be on the bench as a bench coach during coming two games on today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
During the two games, Manager, Scott Servais is attending the graduation ceremony of his daughter, Jackie, to receive her master degree from the Ole Miss School of Journalism and New Media, in Oxford, Mississippi.
Current bench coach, Manny Acta acts as manager for the two games. Also, Ichiro Suzuki plays a role of bench coach instead of him.
It is the first time for Ichiro being the bench coach.
He said, “I was only able to watch (the games) on TV. The view is different from the dugout,” he said. “I have no idea (what I’ll be doing). I might make out the lineup card, but other than that, I don’t know.”
He is an active player and has already been something like a coach or mentor. So, I think he doesn't need to do something special.
I'm looking forward to seeing Ichiro as the bench coach during games through TV. But, actually, I'm worried about the weather.
