The Seibu Lions Star pitcher, Daisuke Matsuzaka, took the mound as a starter in a practice game against the Doosan Bears of KPB at Sun Marine Stadium Miyazaki on February 25, Tuesday JST.

As a result, Matsuzaka gave up 3 hits including a homer and 2 ERs in a frame and he was not himself.

A hitter, who hit a homer off him was a player, who had an MVP last season in KPB. The former Red Sox pitcher threw a straight ball with 87 mph to the left-handed hitter and was hit the homer to right field by him.

The 39-year-old said about today’s pitching, “Nothing in particular today. My bad ball produced a bad result. I pitched that ball which could be hit. About the home run, I will not pitch that high ball to be out of the strike zone during a regular season.

Matsuzaka still expects to be a starting roster and will have a chance to throw with the first team.

西武のスター投手、松坂大輔投手が、日本時間２５日（火）、サンマリンスタジアム宮崎で行われた斗山ベアーズとの練習試合で先発登板した。

結果から行くと、１イニングを投げ、１本塁打含む被安打３の２失点と納得のいく内容ではなかった。

本塁打を打たれた打者は、昨シーズン韓国リーグMVPを獲得した選手。１４０キロの内角高めの直球をサイトスタンド上段へ運ばれた。

今日の投球について、松坂投手は、「今日は特にない。悪いボールがそのまま結果になった。あのボールを打たれるはずがない、というわけではない。ホームランを打たれたところも、シーズン中ならああいう外し方はしない」（日刊スポーツより抜粋）と反省した。

ただ、先発ローテーションに期待されており、今後も一軍に帯同し、投球を重ねていく予定だ。
