NPB Dealing with New Coronavirus
NPBが新型コロナウィルスに対処

Nippon Professional Baseball and all professional clubs have confirmed on February 21, JST that All 12 clubs will take mutual measures against new coronavirus. Japanese media reported on February 22 JST. 



A Secretary-General of NPB, Atsushi Ihara commented, “It is the measures all teams refer to”, and “We don’t think of cancellation of the official games and games without spectators. 



Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan has stated “Message to people regarding holding of events” on February 20. It is stating that we don’t require across-the-board refraining from events at present but hope to reconsider the necessity of events. The NPB confirmation is to deal with the message.

All clubs will cancel their fan services, requesting coughing etiquette, and refraining from cheering with jet balloons to their fans.

日本野球機構と１２球団は、日本時間２１日、１２球団共通で新型コロナウィルス対策を行なっていくことを確認した。日本の複数のメディアが伝えた。

日本野球機構の井原敦事務局長は、「１２球団で参考にして頂くもの」として、無客試合や中止は考えていない意向を示した。

厚生労働省は、２０日、「イベントの開催に関する国民の皆様へのメッセージ」と題し、現時点で政府として一律の自粛要請を行うものではないとしながらも感染拡大の防止のため、開催の必要性を改めて検討して欲しい旨のメッセージを発出した。これに対応する形で、今回の対応につながったもの。

ファンサービスやファンによるジェット風船の応援の自粛、咳エチケットなどを呼びかけていく。
