NPB Decides to Hold Exhibition Games without Spectators 
NPBがオープン戦の無観客試合を決定

NPB has announced on February 26, Wednesday JST that we have decided to hold all 72 remaining exhibition games and spring educational league games without spectators due to new coronavirus. 

NPB commissioner, Atsushi Saito, commented, “We have to do what we can do to prevent the infection from spreading. I am very sorry to have a very hard decision when we consider baseball fans.”

日本野球機構は、国内の新型コロナウィルスの拡大を受けて、今後のオープン戦残り全７２試合と春季教育リーグを無観客試合として行うことを発表した。

斎藤惇コミュッショナーは、「今、プロ野球が感染拡大を防ぐためにできることは何ができるか考え、ファンの皆さまには大変申し訳なく思っていますが、苦渋の決断をしたわけでございます」とコメントした。

NPBのホームページにも「２０２０年度春季公式試合（オープン戦）・春季教育リーグにおける無観客試合の開催について」と題して、今回の措置を講ずる説明が記載されている。（詳細は下記URL）
