U18-W-CUP; Japan team come back to Japan

our goal is a gold medal

Japan team, who won a bronze medal, came back to Japan. 

Japan High School Baseball Federation announced the message of manager Shiro Mabuchi, "Japan could win the bronze medal after great pains because the twenty players tenaciously played as representatives of Japanese high school players. I think that Japanese manners and techniques were world-class. Our goal, however, is a gold medal." 

Captain Haruto Yamada said, "it was good for us to finally won the bronze medal. But, I am mortified because we could not win a gold medal. Foreign players have large physiques and muscular power."

U１８日本代表が帰国

　米国フロリダ州で開催された第３０回WBSC U18 ベースボールワールドカップで銅メダルを獲得した日本代表チームが帰国した。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　目標はあくまでも金メダル

　日本高等学校野球連盟は馬淵史郎監督のコメントを発表した。

「２０人の選手が日本の高校球児の代表として粘り強く戦ってくれたおかげで、なんとか銅メダルを獲得することができた。日本野球のマナーと技術は世界に通用していたと思う。だが目標はあくまでも金メダル。」

　主将を務めた山田陽翔選手は、「なんとかメダルを取れたのは良かったが、優勝できなかった悔しさはある。海外の選手は体も大きくパワーもある」と悔しさを口にした。
