Japan to have a suspended game and third place match -U18Wcup-

Japan had a game vs. the USA in the super round of the 30th WBSC Baseball World Cup at 5 am on September 18, JST. The game was suspended because of thundery rain when Japan, which led the USA, 3-2, had a chance with the bases loaded and no out.
The match will be resumed from 10:30 pm on September 18, JST / 9:30 on September 17, EST.

If Japan win the suspended game against the USA, It will have a third place match vs. the USA again. When it lost the suspended game, it will meet Korea in the third place match.

In the first, Yuta Utsumi hit a single to left field to score Shogo Asano, who got a base on balls, reached second base with a passed ball during Yoshinobu Kuroda's at-bat, and advanced to third on a grounder to the pitcher of Yoshinobu Kuroda, 1-0.

In the third, after Japan allowed two runs in the second, 1-2, it made a chance of loading bases with no out with two walks and an error. Kaito Ito, then, had a two-run double to left field, 3-2. 日本、継続試合と３位決定戦のダブルヘッダーへ

　米国フロリダ州で開催されている第３０回WBSC U１８ベースボールワールドカップのスーパーラウンドで、日本代表は、日本時間１８日５時から米国と同ラウンド最終戦を戦い、３−２と日本が逆転した３回途中雷雨のため継続試合となった。継続試合は日本時間同日午後１０時３０分から行われる。さらに日本は継続試合後、３位決定戦をダブルヘッダーで戦うことになった。継続試合を日本が勝った場合は３位決定戦で再び米国と戦い、日本が負けた場合は韓国と３位決定戦を戦う。

　日本は初回、四球で出塁した浅野翔吾を三塁に置いて、４番内海優太が左前適時打を放ち１点を先制。２回に逆転を許し、１−２で迎えた３回。２四球と失策で無死満塁と攻め、７番伊藤櫂人の左越２点二塁打で３−２と逆転した。続く８番藤森康淳の内野飛球を二塁手と遊撃手が交錯し落球。再び無死満塁としたが、その直後、雷雨により試合は中断に入った。

山田陽翔、無死満塁のピンチを切り抜ける好リリーフ

　日本の先発は左腕の森本哲星。初回は三者凡退の立ち上がりだったが、２回に米国打線につかまった。安打と四球で無死１、２塁とされ、６番C.EMERSONに左翼線２点二塁打を浴び逆転を許した。その後無死満塁とピンチが広がり降板。主将の山田陽翔が絶対絶命のピンチでリリーフ。山田は落ち着いてボールを低めに制球し後続を３人で打ち取り、流れを食い止めた。
