2022 AL MVP, Aaron Judge, "historical slugger"

Today's player is the 2022 American League MVP Winner, Aaron Judge.


Aaron Judge was selected as the 2022 American League MVP after having the best season in his career by setting the AL home run record with 62 shots. He renewed the AL single-season home run record for the first time in sixty-one years since Roger Maris in 1961.


That's not all. Four-time All-Star led the league in Runs(133), OBP(.425), SLG(.686), OPS(1.111), TB(391), and RBI(131). Judge earned two titles in the Triple Crawn categories with his third career Silver Slugger.

The New York Yankees selected Judge with the 32nd pick in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft. He made his big league debut in 2016.

Judge was renowned for his remarkable performance in 2017, his second rookie season. He was unanimously named the Rookie of the Year. He made a new record for homers among all-time rookies with 52 long balls to become a home run leader, marking a batting average of .284 and 114 RBIs, the second-most in the American League.

Since then, the 30-year-old superstar has led the Yankees as a hard hitter and solid outfielder.

He is now a free agent whose move should be observed.
