Frankie Montas originally signed with
the Boston Red Sox on December 14, 2009. He was traded by the Red Sox to the Chicago White Sox in a three-team deal with the Detroit Tigers on July 31, 2013.

The right-hander made his big league debut with the White Sox against the Minnesota Twins on September 2, 2015, tossing one scoreless inning in relief with a strikeout. After finishing his first season with 0-2, a 4.80 ERA in 7 games, he transferred to the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he played in the minor in 2016.

The 29-year-old righty moved to the Oakland Athletics in a trade on August 1, 2016. In 2021, he had a brilliant season, marking 13-9 with a 3.37 ERA in 32 starts covering 187 frames, collecting the American League(AL)-fourth most 207 strikeouts. Especially Montas recorded 3-0, 40 strikeouts with a 2.19 over six starts with 37 innings from September to October, receiving the AL Pitcher of the Month.

He missed all of 2020 due to Tommy John surgery, but his actual velocity and sharpness returned in 2022. Severino will be expected to be the Yanks'ace again to help the team regain the World Championship after 14 years."

Luis Severino signed with the New York Yankees to a minor league contract on May 31, 2012.

The right-hander made his big league debut on August 5, 2015, when he tossed five innings with two hits, walking none, and striking out seven against the Boston Red Sox. Unfortunately, despite his reasonable effort, he had his first career loss as the Yankees were beaten by the Red Sox, 2-1. He picked up his first win by facing the Cleveland Indians on August 22, giving up three hits and one earned run in six frames. He finished his first season with a 5-3 record with a 2.89 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 11 starts.

In 2017, the 28-year-old starter had an excellent season with 14-6 and a 2.98 ERA across 31 starts covering his career most of 193.1 innings, striking out 230. He was named to the All-Star for the first time in his career. 2018 was his best season as well. Severino was named as the Opening Day starter for the first time for the Yankees. He pitched 5 1/3 inning, allowing just one hit and no runs, fanning seven batters to collect his first win of the season in a 6-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. He went his career-high record of 19-8 with a 3.39 and 220 strikeouts in 32 starts(191.1 innings).

The Dominican Yankee appeared in only 18 frames from 2019 to 2021 because of Tommy John surgery and returned to the Yankees' starting rotation in 2022, during which he missed two months due to a lat injury. He posted a 3.18 ERA with a record of 7-3 and 112 strikeouts over 19 starts(102 innings pitched) that year.

The two-time All-Star has had 50-29 with a 3.39 ERA and 709 strikeouts across 638 innings(122 games, including 107 starts) in his major league career at the end of the 2022 season.

Cortes was drafted by the Yankees with the 1094th overall pick in the 36th round of the 2013 major league draft.

The Yankees sent Cortes to the Baltimore Orioles in the Rule 5 Draft in 2017. He made his big league debut as a reliever against the Minnesota Twins on March 31st, 2018.

The 28-year-old lefty returned to the Yankees from the Orioles in April 2018 and earned his first major league victory against the Chicago White Sox on June 9th, 2019, fanning seven batters over 5.0 innings.

Cortes was traded to the Seattle Mariners for future considerations in the 2019 off-season, with which he could not have a good performance in 2020.

He signed the Yankees again as a free agent on January 4th, 2021, and appeared in 22 contests, including his 14 starts, going 2-3 with a 2.90 ERA that year.

In 2022, Cortes entered the Yankees' starting rotation. He started 28 games covering 158.1 frames to go 12-4 with a 2.44 ERA, striking out 163 batters.

Jonathan Loaisiga signed the San Francisco Giants to a minor league contract in 2012 and was released due to his injury on May 30, 2015. Then, he had a minor league contract with the New York Yankees on February 9, 2016.

The right-handed pitcher made his major league debut on June 15, 2018, in a game against the Tampa Bay Rays, in which he took the mound as a starter and pitched five scoreless innings on three hits, fanning six to earn his first career victory. He was the 15th Nicaraguan to appear in a big league game and the first Yankee.

The 28-year-old Nicaraguan player marked 2-2 with a 4.55 ERA through 15 appearances in 2019. His best season was in 2021 when he recorded 9-4 with a 2.17 ERA and five saves across 57 contests as a reliever. Jonathan also struck out four batters, including a dropped third strike in the seventh inning against the Boston Red Sox at Fen Way Park on June 25 to become the first Yankee to achieve the feat since 2012.
