Kwang Hyun made his professional debut with the SK Wyverns of Korean Baseball Organization(KBO) in 2007.

In 2018, Kim went 16-4 with a 2.39 ERA and 150 strikeouts in his 27 starts, leading the league in wins and strikeouts and leading his team to the back-to-back Korean Series title. Since then, he has led Korean professional baseball as a starting pitcher to earn many pitching titles.

Also, the 34-year-old left-handed pitcher has vast experience in international baseball events, helping Team Korea advance to higher places, including the Gold Medals with the 2008 Olympic and WBSC Premier 12.

Kim played for the St.Louis Cardinals of MLB in 2020 and 2021, marking 10-7 with 2.97 across 35 games, including 28 starts and 7 relieves, and 104 strikeouts.
