About Astros' Sign-stealing operation

The Houston Astros is suspected of an electronic sign-stealing operation in the 2017 season. On the season, the Astros won their first victory of the World Series in the franchise history. According to The Athletic MLB, the Astros were stealing signs in 2017 using an outfield camera, a monitor in the tunnel and banging on a trash can to convey pitches. 

​In response to this, the Astros announced that were launching an investigation in conjunction with MLB into allegations that they used a camera in center field and a tunnel monitor to steak the signs of opposing pitchers. 

I think that I want the Astros to tell me it isn’t true. According to KAISPO, the Astros’s winning percentages of total, home, and away games were respectively .660/.741/.580. That of home games was the best in the American League West. 

メジャーリーグのヒューストンアストロズに２０１７年シーズンにおけるサイン盗み疑惑が持ち上がっている。２０１７年はアストロズが球団初のワールドチャンピオンになった年である。The Athletic MLBによると、アストロズは、外野カメラ、地下モニター、改造したゴミ箱などを使い、（相手投手の）球種を伝えていたという。これを受けて、アストロズ球団は、MLBと協力して、事実調査をスタートさせると発表した。



私はアストロズにはこれは事実ではないと言って欲しい。KAISPOによると、アストロズの今季の勝率を、トータル値、ホームゲーム値、アウェーゲーム値で見ると、それぞれ、.660/.741/.580となり、（あくまで今季データであるが）アメリカンリーグ西地区でもホームゲーム勝率はダントツに高い。
