The Washington Nationals catcher, Kurt Suzuki, is confident that the Astros still did a sign-cheating in last-years’ World Series. The CBS sports reported with an evidential movie on YouTube. Houston have just had a press conference of apology for the 2017 sign-stealing at Palm beach on February 13. 

But, It could be very shocking if a catcher of Nationals, who was an opponent of the Astros in last-season’s World Series, says that they are guilty. 

According to the article, the Washington Post’s reporter asked Suzuki if the Astros were still doing a sign-stealing in the 2019 World Series and he answered the question. 


“Oh, yeah, no question. We could hear it from their dugout. We heard their whistling.”

“The whole thing was crazy. I got messed up on signs a couple of times, had to call time and take us out of rhythm. I kept thinking, 'We have to go to the field and work early on our signs in the World Series just to stop their cheating.' It's so stupid and so wrong.”


Some players of Yankees, had a match with the Astros in the 2019 ALCS, testified in the same vein. 

Suzuki exemplified Yuli Gurriel’s at-bat in the top of the first inning in the 2019 World Series. Someone was whistling after watching a video. 

As a result, because the winner of the 2019 World Series was the Nationals, the 2019 season might be excluded from a subject into MLB’s investigation.

記事によると、スズキ選手は、ワシントンポストの記者の「２０１９年のワールドシリーズでもアストロズはサイン盗みをしていたと思いますか？」という質問に対し、下記のように述べたそうだ。


「明らかだ。我々は相手のダッグアウトから笛を吹く音を聴いた。全てのことはおかしかった。私は２、３回、サイン交換に失敗し、タイムを要求し、リズムを外した。私は考え続けた。我々はフィールドに行き、我々のサインをワールドシリーズで早く機能させねばならないと。彼らのサイン盗みをやめさせるために。それは本当にバカバカしく、悪いことだ。」


昨年のア・リーグチャンピオンシップでアストロズと戦った何人かのヤンキースの選手がスズキ氏と同様の証言をしている。

スズキ氏は事例として、昨年のワールドシリーズ第１戦１回裏のアストロズのユリ・グリエル選手の打席をあげた。この映像によると、確かに笛が吹かれている。

このワールドシリーズはナショナルズが勝ったために、MLBの調査対象からこの年は外れた可能性もある。
