Ex-Angels Manager, Brad Ausmus Is A Candidate for Houston’s Manager
前エンジェルスの監督、ブラッド・オースマス氏、アストロズの監督候補に。

Farmer Angels manager, Brad Ausmus could be a candidate for the Astros’s managerial job, according to MLB.com. 
Ausmus has already taken an interview for the job with the Astros. But, it is not sure if he will be Houston’s manager because the team has already met several experienced candidates. 

In his playing days, the 50-year-old played for five clubs including the Astros with which he was for ten years. Also, he managed the Detroit Tigers from 2014 to 2017 and the Los Angeles Angels in 2019. Ausmus led the Tigers to the ALDS in 2014, but the club went 0-3. 

As a skipper, Ausmus had 386-422 whose winning percentage is below 50%. 
But, the Angels he managed last season is in the American League West with the Astros. There could be some advantage to win the same league by his management. He will really know the real power on the teams in the league more than any candidates. 

Anyway, we are waiting for their announcement about their new manager. ​

オースマス氏はすでにアストロズとの面談を持ったとようだ。しかし、アストロズは、すでに何人かの経験のある監督候補と面談を持っており、彼が監督となるかはわからない。

オースマス氏は現在、50歳で現役時代に5チームでプレーしたが、アストロズでは通算10シーズンプレーした。引退後は、2014年から2017年までデトロイト・タイガースを、2019年はロサンゼルス・エンジェルスを指揮した。2014年にはタイガースをアメリカンリーグ地区シリーズまで導いたが、３連敗で敗退した。

監督として、オースマス氏は通算386勝422敗で勝率は5割を切っているが、昨年、指揮したエンジェルスはアストロズと同じアメリカンリーグ西地区だ。従って、同リーグのチーム戦力は他の候補者よりも精通しており、リーグを勝ち抜く上でのアドバンテージにはなるだろう。

とにかく、新監督の発表を待つ。​
