The Miami Marlins announced today that they have had a minor contract with Gosuke Katoh and will invite him to next major spring camp. 

Gosuke Katoh is now 25 years old and an infielder, who was picked by the Yankees in the second round of the MLB draft in 2013. The left-handed batter has never been promoted to the Major. He has a chance to change a major contract from the minor before an opening of season depending on his performance in the spring camp. His main position is second baseman, but he has experiences to play as third baseman, shortstop, and left fielder. 


​He would be the second Japanese player to play in the Marlins after Ichiro Suzuki if promoting to the major.
