⭐️KAISPO Total No. #1023(in English）
The Cincinnati Reds may be the top candidate to acquire Shogo Akiyama, an international free agent, aiming for the Major. Nikkan Sports reported today.
KAISPO-MLB reported yesterday that the Reds and Padres were the most hopeful clubs to land Akiyama. One of the finalists, the Reds has offered a couple of years’ contract and the salary could be bigger than the others.
After the Christmas break in the U.S, the Reds may quickly move to acquire Akiyama at a stretch with outstripping the other clubs.
The 31 year-old, outfielder, could be the fist Japanese players with the Reds if his landing spot is Cincinnati. The left-handed hitter has hit .321/.399/.497 over last five seasons in the Nippon Professional Baseball. His fielding and running are highly evaluated.
He said today, “I can say anything. I will just prepare for my performance as much as I can.”
His destination will be announced at an early date.
