Today's player's resume concerns the Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vadimir Guerrero Jr. He can play for Team Dominican Republic in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

"Guerrero Jr. is a young slugger who debuted at 20 and is now 23 years old. He is one of the most powerful hitters, with an average Exit Velocity of 92.8 mph and a max of 118.4 in 2022. Comparing his K%(16.4%) in 2022 to the top four American League's home run hitters in 2022(Aaron Judge:25.1%, Mike Trout:27.9%, Yordan Alvarez: 18.9%, Shohei Ohtani: 24.2%), his rate was the lowest. The trend has remained the same for the past four years. So he is a good contact hitter as well. I hope Guerrero Jr. will continue to be a good hitter who can also hit powerful homers for a long time."

His father is Vladimir Guerrero. inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018. Guerrero Jr. signed with the Toronto Blue Jays to a minor league contract on July 2, 2015. He notched a batting average of .381 in the minor league in 2018, attracting attention as a top prospect.

Toronto's 23-year-old slugger was called up to the major on April 26, 2019, and started his first big league game as a third baseman and batting fifth that night. He went 1-for-4 with a lead-off double in the ninth to lead Toronto's 4-2 walk-off win over the Oakland Athletics. On May 14, 2019, at Oracle Park against the San Francisco Giants, he delivered a pair of home runs for the first two of his career. At 20 years and 59 days old, Vladimir became the youngest player to hit to homer in Toronto's Franchise history and the third-youngest player in big league history to hit his first two homers in the same game. He also attended Home Run Derby at the youngest age in Major League history to win a championship with the history-most 91 smashes. Guerrero Jr. brilliantly recorded .272 with 15 long balls and 69 RBI in his first year. 

In 2021, the strong right-handed hitter led the American League(AL) in home runs after competing with the Angels' two-way star, Shohei Ohtani. He excellently finished the season with .311/.401/.601, a 1.002 OPS, 48 homers, and 111 RBIs in 161 contests, receiving his first AL Silver Slugger and Hank Aaron Award. He also won the AL Gold Glove for the first time in his career in 2022. 

Guerroro Jr. has marked .284 with 104 homers and 310 RBIs in 504 games in his three major league seasons at the end of the 2022 season.
