Story:
Today's player's resume concerns the Minnesota Twins' starting righty, Pablo Lopez. Lopez is from Venezuela and will commit to Team Venezuela in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

The KAISPO's baseball analyst commented,
"Lopez is a starting pitcher with a smooth form. Although he pitched in 32 games in 2022 and went 10-10 with a 3.75 ERA, he was second only to Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Sandy Alcantara, considering that the Marlins' batting average and runs scored ranked 28th in MLB. In urgent need of an offensive rebuild, the Marlins acquired the 2022 batting champion, Luis Arraes, from the Twins in a trade on January 20, 2023, and pitcher Lopez moved to the Twins. Lopez's win-loss numbers will improve, considering the Twins' current offensive prowess. I hope to see his calm mound handling with Minnesota."

Pablo Lopez signed with the Seattle Mariners on July 4, 2012. After making an effort with the Mariners' affiliate, Lopez was traded along with three other minor leaguers by the Mariners to the Miami Marlins on July 20, 2017.

The young right-hander made his Major League debut as a starter on June 30, 2018. He pitched six innings, allowing six hits and two runs to earn his first win in the Marlins' 5-2 comeback victory over the New York Mets. He made ten starts in his first season, finishing at 2-4, a 4.14 ERA with 46 strikeouts.

In 2020 shortened by the pandemic, the Venezuelan starter had a good season. Lopez started 11 games, covering 57 1/3 frames, fanning 59 with the National League's fourth-most six wins(four losses) and an ERA of 3.61. On July 11, 2021, against the Atlanta Braves, Lopez set a new MLB record with nine straight strikeouts to begin a game. At the same time, he tied the Marlins franchise record for most consecutive strikeouts at any point of a game.
He finished the 2021 season with 5-5, a 3.07 ERA across 20 starts. In 2022, he collected his career-most ten wins(ten losses) with a 3.75 ERA and 174 strikeouts over 32 starts with 180 innings pitched under the Marlins' lack of offensive support.

Pablo Lopez has gone 28-31 with a 3.94 ERA, and 489 strikeouts over 94 starts with 510 innings in his big league career at the end of the 2022 season.
