Mets Manager Beltran Parts ways
メッツ監督のベルトランが辞任。

​According to Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports, Carlos Beltran resigned the New York Mets manager in the wake of his involvement in the Houston’s Astros’ sign stealing system as a player. The Mets issued the an official statement on Jan 16 to inform the team and Beltran agreed to mutually part ways. Beltran is saying his appreciation to the club. 

Carlos Beltran is 42, and played for the 7 Major teams through his career and his last team was the Houston Astros with which he played in 2017 that was the Astros’s World Champion year. 

He retired the 2017 off-season and signed a contract as a manager with the Mets the 2019 off-season. Finally, he could not enter Spring Training and the season. 

Beltran is the third manager, who parted ways or was fired on the series of the sign-stealing scandal.

メッツ監督のベルトランが辞任。

ヤフースポーツのティム・ブラウンによると、ニューヨーク・メッツの監督、カルロス・ベルトランが、アストロズ時代に選手としてサイン盗み事件に関わったとして辞任した。メッツは1月16日、声明を発表し、お互いの辞任の合意を伝えた。ベルトレンはクラブへの感謝の意を述べている。

カルロス・ベルトランは４２歳で、キャリアを通して、メジャーの７チームでプレーしたが、最後のチームが２０１７年にプレーしたアストロズだった。２０１７年はアストロズがワールドチャンピオンになった年である。

彼は、２０１７年を最後に引退し、２０１９年のオフに監督としての契約をしたばかりだった。春季キャンプや２０２０年シーズンを迎えることなく辞任となった。

ベルトレンは一連のサイン盗み事件で辞任ないし、解雇された３人目の監督となった。
