・The Red Sox announced on behalf of Ortiz’s wife Tiffany that Ortiz was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. He keeps in good condition to recover.

6/19/2019 Thursday;
・Dominican Republic attorney general Jean Alain Rodriguez told Ortiz’s friend Sixto David Fernandez that David Ortiz was not the intended target of the shooting.
・The target seemed to be Sixto David Fernandez sitting at the same table with big papi, according to the attorney.
・Official said the gunman misunderstood a true target by an inaccurate picture shown from a mastermind because both were dressed alike then.

6/18/2019 Tuesday;
・The Red Sox issued a statement on behalf of Tiffany Ortiz;
This morning, David’s condition was upgraded to ‘good’ by his continues to make progress with his recovery in the ICU at Massachusetts General Hospital.
・But, the case is still under investigation although Dominican authorities have detained ten people.


6/12/2019 Wednesday;
・Dominican police showed a gun used in the attack on Ortiz.

・Several suspects were paid less than the equivalent of $8,000 to kill Ortiz.
・But, no motive is still given. 


I hope Big Papi make a full recovery and we can see his smile again as soon as possible. 


6/11 Tuesday -6/12 Wednesday 2019;
Ortiz is making good progress towards recovery by sitting up and taking some steps although he is in the Intensive Unit at the Hospital, according to the statement of his wife, Tiffany Ortiz. 


6/10/2019 Monday;
Ortiz was transferred from the Dominican Republic to Mass General Hospital in Boston by a medical air ambulance the Boston Red Sox sent on Monday. 
He underwent another round of surgery on Monday night at Mass General Hospital in Boston.


6/9/2019 Sunday night;
Ortiz was shot by a man at a bar, Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and underwent extensive surgery for an emergency. 


One of the suspects was Féliz García, who was treated at the hospital Dr. Dario Contreas in Santo Domingo by being attacked by the crowd just after the shooting.
