Today's player's movie resume is about Julio Urias, the Los Angeles Dodgers' great lefty, who intends to play for Team Mexico in the 2023 Worlds Baseball Classic.

Dodgers Scout discovered a 15-year-old Urias in Mexico, a talented and hopeful left-handed pitcher. The free agent, Urias, signed the Dodgers in August 2012 at 16.

Urias made his big league debut at nineteen years and 289 days old in 2016. The young lefty became the first player to take the mound for the Dodgers since Fernando Valenzuela debuted as a pitcher at 19 years, and 319 days old in 1980. He was also the youngest pitcher in the Majors since the Mariners' righty Felix Hernandez's debut in 2005.

In 2016, Urias appeared in 18 contests, including 15 starts, and went 5-2 with a 3.39 ERA and 84 strikeouts.

In 2020, the shortened season with 80 games because of COVID-19, the 26-year-old Mexican pitcher was 3-0 with a 3.27 ERA across 11 games.

In 2021, Urias had a magical season, having 20-3 with a 2.96 ERA over 32 games and leading MLB in wins. He became the first Mexican-born pitcher to collect the most wins in the league in a single season and the fourth Mexican pitcher to win 20 games.

He finished the 2022 season with 17-7 and 166 strikeouts, leading the National League in ERA with 2.16.

KAISPO baseball analyst commented,
"Urias was the NL wins leader with 20 last season and earned 17 victories this season. He is a pitcher who bears down to batters and is impervious to jams, being one of the greatest pitchers to throw into the most effective zone according to each game's situation.”
