2023 WBC Star player Vol.15:Steven Kwan, Cleveland outfielder, “5-tool rookie sensation”-For JAPAN-

​Today's player is a young elite 5-tool player, Steven Kwan, who might represent Japan in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Japan's skipper, Hideki Kuriyama, has placed Kwan on the pre-registered list of the 2023 WBC. I like his play style.

The Cleveland Guardians selected Steven Kwan with the 163rd overall pick in the first round of the 2018 MLB draft. He made his big league debut in an opening game of the 2022 season.

The Rookie left-handed hitter brilliantly slashed .298/.373/.400 with six home runs, 52 RBIs, 89 runs scored, and 19 stolen bases through 147 games, lifting the Club to the playoffs.

The 25-year-old outfielder showed good leather, receiving the 2022 American   League Gold Glove Award and the Statcast 2022 All-Defense Teams.

The Baseball Innovation's baseball analyst says, "Kwan is a good contact hitter with a possibility of being a 5-tool player like Ichiro Suzuki. He is a skillfully rare hitter to control a flamingo-style batting form.”
