The 2023 WBC Star player’s movie resume Vol.33: Zack Weiss (Los Angeles Angels): Major Candidate for Team Israel: “Israel’s slider king!”

Today's player's resume concerns the Los Angeles Angels reliever, Zack Weiss. He is eligible to play for Israel's international team in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Zack Weiss was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds with the 195th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2013 MLB draft. He had his first major league appearance with the Reds in a game against the St.Louis Cardinals on April 12, 2018. He allowed two home runs and two walks, leaving the mound without any out in relief. As a result, his ERA had been infinite until his next big league appearance for the Los Angeles Angels on September 2, 2022.

After playing in the minor league, the 30-year-old righty signed the Angels to a minor league contract on November 28, 2021.

Since the big league debut game, Weiss took his first MLB mound for the Angels on September 2, 2022, facing the Houston Astros, retiring all four batters he faced in relief in the 6th. He went 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA in his 12 relief appearances covering 13.1 frames in 2022. He, therefore, ended his infinite ERA.
